A rare and beautifully toned Carian hemidrachm

CARIA. Uncertain. Circa 500-450 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 12 mm, 2.88 g, 9 h). Winged male figure in kneeling/running stance to left, raising his right hand; before, Carian symbol. Rev. Lion standing left, head turned back to right and raising his right forepaw; above, Carian symbol; all within round incuse. CNG E-Auction 392 (2017), 291. SNG Ashmolean 329. Rare. A beautifully toned example of this lovely issue. The reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
